They are not based on catalogue values but on current dealer and auction listings. The reason for this is that catalogues tend to over-value stamps.
They are average prices. The actual value of your stamp may be slightly above or below the listed value, depending on the overall condition of your stamp. Use these prices as a guide to determine the approximate value of your stamps.

Tales of imaginary and mythical creatures exist world wide, and Canada is not without its own stories of legendary beasts. This year, Canada Post Corporation begins a new series of commemorative stamps recognizing Canadian folklore. The first set of four se tenant stamps depicts the "loup-garou" (Werewolf), the Ogopogo, the Sasquatch and the Kraken in the environments where they are rumoured to exist. Designer Ralph Tibbles teamed up with illustrators Allan Cormack and Deborah Drew-Brook, all of Toronto, to create these colourful stamps. The stamps feature fanciful illustrations, soft edges and decorative borders, creating a fairy tale look.
